Last up on my list is Guicho’s Eatery, the notable, unique Italian restaurant. It is the perfect takeout experience for a picnic or if you just want to eat it at home. Guicho’s has taken gourmet Italian food and made it specifically for take out. This is why it is unique, it eliminates the extra payments for service and appetizers. Guicho’s caters to all of your Italian food desires and will have you speaking Italian by the end of the night. Every time I watch the Sopranos, I cannot get taste of Guichos out of my mouth, and sometimes I will call for take out halfway through the show. Guicho’s is the best it gets when looking for quick Italian food.
My favorite item on the menu is the meatball sub. It comes in a freshly toasted loaf of bread where it is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The meatballs are marinated and cooked slowly in a marinara sauce, topped off with fontina cheese. On the side they give extra sauce to spread throughout the sandwich. The aroma will have your mouth watering and ready to dig in. My second favorite item is their penne pasta. I would like to try more of their pasta, but every time I end up going I get the meatball sub because it is so good. The penne pasta is a simple dish. It has the same marinara sauce that is on the meatball sub, but it is topped with white onions and basil. The sweetness of the marinara sauce goes extremely well with the bitterness of the onions and pepperyness of the basil. My mouth is watering just talking about it.
