Poke Roll 808

Coming from a beach town I love the eat seafood, but most of the time it is not reasonably prices. I have done a lot of looking around San Clemente, and I have found that this is the best. Poke Roll 808 is a reletively cheap sushi bar, while still giving good sized portions. It is a quaint spot, with delicious cooking. Located on the main street in San Clemente, Del Mar, it has many people walking through to look at this unique restaurant. Like most of the restaurants on Del Mar it is one small room where you order your food, with a few tables outside in a courtyard that is created by neighbouring businesses. This interesting setup is ideal to get people to look around and entice customers.

I have only been to 808’s, as the locals call it, a couple times, and each time I ordered something new. The sushi rolls here are tremendous. They contain lots of food and are hand wrapped by the cheffs. Like most sushi bars you can sit and watch the cheff prepare it. My goal is to be able to try every roll that they have, but it will take many trips as they have over thirty different kinds. The rolls are not the only thing on the menu. They have great poke bowls and ramen bowls. A funny thing is that I originally went to the restaurant for a poke bowl, but when I saw they had ramen as well, I had to get both. I stuffed myself that day. I would recomend anything on their menu as it is all very well made with fresh ingredients. I also will recomend this place to anyone in Southern Orange County as well and if you are visiting. It is a great resaurant to grad a meal and take a walk to the beach after!
